Who I am?

I am a .......Peruvian specialty!

My name is Kenyi Torres de Krug, I'm 44 years old and I'm from Lima, the capital of Peru. I came to Germany more than 20 years ago to support our family business in Lima and to finish my marketing studies. During my first years in Germany, I did further training in marketing in various cities and later I worked for several international companies in the field of marketing, with a focus on event and trade fair organization. During my studies I met my husband, whom I married soon after and with whom I have three sons. For more than 20 years we are living in Herrenberg, my second home.

I am a passionate Peruvian and love my country so much that it is very important to me to bring the diversity of my home country closer to the people in Germany. This includes the music, the food and the handcrafts and of course the famous hospitality. I'm lucky to have been working in the community shop "Artis" in Herrenberg for many years now where I can offer Peruvian handicrafts. It's also a great opportunity to represent my country and the diverse treasures of handicrafts to the public. Due to my vivacious and cheerful nature, I was always invited to many festivals and events where I had the opportunity to present the diverse Peruvian cuisine. The great positive response finally led me to decide to offer cooking classes in Peruvian cuisine.
Peru's cuisine is considered one of the best in South America and the culinary delights range from the fish-rich cuisine of the coast, the rich dishes of the Andes to the exotic dishes of the Amazon. Since more than 6 years I offer cooking courses in different institutions: in the Volkshochschule Herrenberg, Böblingen, Nagold, and Stuttgart, as well as in the Family House in Sindelfingen and the Family Educational Center in Tübingen.
